Hello! I am Jasmine D. Holcomb and I am providing instrument lessons on the Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone in the Canton, GA area.
My goal is to help you to develop a good practice routine and to help you take your musical journey one solid step at a time so that you can establish a good foundation and soon be playing well and enjoying your instrument!
Music is work, but music is so fun!
It is a lot of practicing, but it is very rewarding and most parents really enjoy hearing their kids practice as they hear progress being made.
I help to make sure your instrument is working properly! Most often, a new player has trouble with their embouchure and their finger placement, but occasionally there is a problem with the reed, mouthpiece, ligature or the instrument and our lessons include assistance with these items. I will test your instrument to be sure that all is playing well when needed and if there is a problem help you to know what needs to be worked on at the repair shop.
I have played the saxophone since 5th grade and I am currently a Junior at Creekview High School. I began playing the alto saxophone in Warsaw, Indiana at Edgewood Middle School. Later we moved to North Carolina where I also began playing the tenor and baritone saxophone. I played in the Topsail Marching Band in Hampstead, North Carolina for one year and then we moved here to Georgia.
I am currently playing the Baritone saxophone in the Mastery band and the Symphonic band at Creekview High school and am also playing the clarinet in the Intermediate band.
For the past two summers, I attended the University of Georgia’s Summer Music Institute camp and played the baritone saxophone.
I am also currently playing the baritone saxophone for the North Georgia Youth Symphony at Reinhart University.
Lessons are $20 for one hour and are provided at our currently living quarters on Rosebury drive in Canton, GA.
